Product Description

DNAM-1(CD226) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is 318 amino acids in length and contains two immunoglobulin-like domains. DNAM-1 is expressed on both T cells and natural killer (NK) cells and participates in primary adhesion during CTL-mediated cytotoxicity. It is a member of the Ig-superfamily containing 2 Ig-like domains of the V-set. The protein mediates cellular adhesion of platelets and megakaryocytic cells to vascular endothelial cells. The protein also plays a role in megakaryocytic cell maturation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
