Product Description

Pin1 also known as UBL5 is a crucial enzyme characterized by its unique structure, which includes a WW domain responsible for binding phosphorylated serine/threonine-proline motifs and a peptidylprolyl isomerase (PPIase) domain that catalyzes the cis/trans isomerization of proline residues. This structural configuration enables Pin1 to regulate the conformation and function of its substrates, playing a vital role in controlling cell cycle progression, signal transduction, and protein stability. Proper functioning of Pin1 is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, and dysregulation has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
