| Product Description | |
Tryptase also konwn as TPSAB1 is the most abundant neutral serine protease expressed in the secretory granules of all human mast cells. Tryptase plays a crucial role in immune response, primarily by mediating inflammation and tissue remodeling. Tryptase is secreted upon the coupled activation-degranulation response of mast cells in peripheral tissues to physical factors such as trauma, toxins, venoms, endogenous mediators, and immune mechanisms (IgE-dependent and IgE-independent). Mast cells, specialized immune cells residing in connective tissues, secrete this protein and are involved in allergic reactions and defense against pathogens. Tryptase is primarily located in secretory granules of mast cells, where storage occurs in an inactive form until cell activation triggers release. |
