| Product Description | |
LSP1 also known as pp52 is a hematopoietic-expressed gene that encodes an F-actin-binding, leukocyte-specific phosphoprotein, playing a crucial role in the immune response by regulating leukocyte functions such as motility and chemotaxis. LSP1 is involved in cytoskeletal remodeling, which is essential for the movement and activation of immune cells, including B and T lymphocytes, granulocytes, and macrophages. The gene encoding LSP1 is located on human chromosome 11p15.5, a region associated with tumor-related chromosomal translocations in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, highlighting LSP1′s potential significance in cancer biology. The promoter of LSP1 contains critical elements that regulate transcriptional activity, including Ets and SP1 motifs, which are vital for precise expression in response to various signaling pathways. |
