| Product Description | |
ERβ (Estrogen Receptor β) also konwn as ESR2, NR3A2 is a member of the family of estrogen receptors and superfamily of nuclear receptor transcription factors. ERβ plays a crucial role in mediating estrogen effects, particularly in regulating gene expression related to reproductive tissues and other physiological processes. Located primarily in the nucleus, ERβ can also associate with the cell membrane, allowing rapid activation upon estrogen exposure. This unique localization enables ERβ to participate in both genomic and non-genomic signaling pathways, influencing cellular responses to hormonal changes. ERβ′s ability to dimerize and interact with specific regulatory elements in target genes is essential for function, and research has shown differential activation by various ligands, leading to distinct biological outcomes. |
