| Product Description | |
Histone H1.0 also known as H1F0, H1-0 is a member of the H1 family of linker histones. Histone H1.0 plays a crucial role in chromatin structure and function by interacting with linker DNA between nucleosomes, facilitating DNA compaction into higher-order chromatin. Histone H1.0 is expressed in cells undergoing terminal differentiation or those with low rates of division, distinguishing this protein from other somatic H1 histones typically found in proliferating cells. Histone H10 is derived from the intronless gene H1F0, located on chromosome 22q13.1 in humans, and is widely expressed across various tissues in most vertebrates, highlighting an essential role in cellular processes. |
