Product Description

Neuropilin-1 also known as VEGF165R, CD304 is a type I transmembrane receptor that plays a crucial role in neural development by guiding axon growth and is also a high-affinity receptor for class III semaphorins and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), making it key in both axonal guidance and angiogenesis. Neuropilin-1 is predominantly expressed in arterial endothelial cells, distinguishing it from its closely related homolog, neuropilin-2, which shares similar structural features but is found in venous and lymphatic endothelial cells. The differential expression of these neuropilins contributes to their distinct roles in vascular development and immune cell function.
