| Product Description | |
| Stat4 also known as Signal transducer and activator of transcription 4 is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. Stat4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and translocates to the nucleus upon activation by cytokines such as interleukin-12 (IL-12), where Stat4 functions as a transcription factor to regulate gene expression. This nuclear localization is essential for promoting the differentiation of naive T cells into Th1 cells, which are vital for orchestrating the body′s immune response against intracellular pathogens and in the development of autoimmune diseases. By mediating responses to cytokines, Stat4 plays a significant role in the regulation of inflammation, hematopoiesis, and the immune system′s ability to respond to infections. |
