Product Description | |
FGFR3 also known as CD333, ACH a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) family, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and tissue repair. FGFR-3 is primarily located on the cell surface, where FGFR-3 binds to fibroblast growth factors, initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling that influences cellular processes such as proliferation and survival. Proper functioning of FGFR-3 is vital for normal skeletal development, and mutations in FGFR-3 can lead to a range of skeletal dysplasias, including achondroplasia and thanatophoric dysplasia, highlighting FGFR-3′s importance in human health. |
