Product Description | |
FGFR also known as CD332, Bek is a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family. Located on the cell surface, FGFR2 binds to FGF ligands, initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling events that are essential for tissue development, repair, and maintenance. The structure of FGFR2 includes an extracellular ligand-binding domain, a single transmembrane helix, and an intracellular tyrosine kinase domain, which are pivotal for its role in signal transduction and interaction with downstream signaling molecules like FRS2 and PLCγ. FGFR2 undergoes post-translational modifications, including glycosylation, which are crucial for its proper folding, stability, and functional activation, thereby enhancing its ability to interact with specific intracellular partners. |
