Product Description

Arp2 protein plays a crucial role in actin polymerization, which is essential for numerous cellular functions such as chemotaxis, cell migration, cell adhesion, and platelet activation. Arp2 is a key component of the Arp2/3 complex, which facilitates the nucleation of new actin filaments and promotes the formation of a branched actin network. This process is vital for maintaining cellular structure and enabling dynamic changes in cell shape and movement. The Arp2/3 complex operates by binding to the sides of existing actin filaments or the pointed ends, thereby catalyzing the growth of new filaments in the barbed direction.
