| Product Description | |
NSE also known as γ Enolase, ENO2 is one of three isoenzymes of enolase, which are highly conserved cytoplasmic glycolytic enzymes crucial for energy metabolism. NSE plays a crucial role in the glycolytic pathway, specifically in the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate, which is a key step in energy production. NSE is predominantly expressed in the nervous system, making gamma Enolase (NSE-P1) antibody an important marker for neuronal differentiation and function. NSE presence in neural tissues, as opposed to α Enolase and β Enolase isoforms found in various tissues and muscle respectively, highlights NSE′s significance in neurological studies and potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases. |
