| Product Description | |
CHD3 also also known as Mi2-α is a member of the CHD family of proteins which are characterized by the presence of chromo (chromatin organization modifier) domains and SNF2-related helicase/ATPase domains. CHD3 plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling, which is essential for the regulation of gene expression. CHD3 is a component of the mSin3 corepressor complex, which is involved in the deacetylation of histones, thereby influencing transcriptional silencing. The interaction of CHD3 with histone deacetylases, such as HDAC1 and HDAC2, highlights its significance in maintaining chromatin structure and function. By facilitating the removal of acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones, CHD3 contributes to the compaction of chromatin, making DNA less accessible to transcription factors and ultimately regulating gene expression. |
