| Product Description | |
MKP3 also known as DUSP6 is a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. plays a crucial role in regulating mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase signaling pathways, which are essential for cellular responses to growth factors and stress signals. By specifically dephosphorylating critical phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within MAP kinases, MKP3 serves to inactivate members of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) family, thereby modulating various physiological processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. MKP3 expression is tightly regulated and can be induced by various stimuli, highlighting MKP3′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing aberrant signaling that could lead to pathological conditions. |
