Product Description

NEM1 also known as GADD, NDPK-A, NM23-H1 is a member of the NDK family. NEM1 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in metastasis regulation, as NEM1 has been identified as a potential suppressor of metastatic behavior in cancer cells. NEM1 was originally discovered through differential hybridization techniques comparing two murine melanoma sub-lines, revealing that highly metastatic cells exhibited significantly lower NEM1 levels compared to less metastatic counterparts. This relationship underscores NEM1′s importance in cancer biology, as expression levels can influence tumor progression and metastasis.
