Product Description

PAX9 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. PAX9 plays a crucial role in the development of various organs and skeletal elements, making PAX9 essential for proper embryonic development. PAX9 is a member of the paired box gene family, which is characterized by its paired domain that shares strong homology with genes in Drosophila, known for their involvement in early developmental programming. The importance of PAX9 is underscored by associations with several inherited skeletal disorders; mutations in PAX9 can lead to conditions such as Jarcho-Levin syndrome and other forms of spondylocostal dysplasia, which are characterized by abnormal vertebral development.
