Product Description

ASF1B is a member of the H3/H4 family of histone chaperone proteins and is similar to the anti-silencing function-1 gene in yeast. ASF1B plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation by acting as a histone chaperone, facilitating nucleosome assembly and disassembly, which is essential for DNA replication and repair. This function ensures proper chromatin remodeling, allowing DNA access for transcription and other cellular processes. ASF1B gene is located on chromosome 19p13.12, and ASF1B interaction with core histones H3 and H4 is vital for maintaining chromatin structure and function. ASF1B also cooperates with CAF1 protein in nucleosome formation, highlighting ASF1B significance in epigenetic regulation of gene expression.
