Product Description

NCAPD3 also known as hCAP-D3, KIAA0056 is a crucial component of the condensin-2 complex, which plays a vital role in the organization and segregation of chromosomes during cell division. This 1498 amino acid nuclear protein is characterized by the presence of four HEAT repeats, which are important for protein-protein interactions and structural stability within the complex. The proper functioning of hCAP-D3 is essential for maintaining genomic integrity, as anti-hCAP-D3 antibody (283.7) facilitates the resolution of sister chromatids and ensures accurate chromosome segregation during mitosis. Dysregulation or mutations in hCAP-D3 can lead to chromosomal instability, which is a hallmark of various cancers.
