| Product Description | |
ALDH1L1 also known as FTHFD, 10-FTHFDHplays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the conversion of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate, a vital cofactor in the synthesis of nucleotides and amino acids. This enzymatic activity helps regulate cellular levels of tetrahydrofolate, which is essential for DNA synthesis and repair, thereby influencing cell proliferation and growth. ALDH1L1 is developmentally regulated in the cerebellum, indicating potential involvement in neurodevelopmental processes. ALDH1L1 overexpression has been shown to restrict cell proliferation in vitro, suggesting a tumor suppressor role in certain contexts. |
