| Product Description | |
ZEB1 also known as TCF8, ZFHX1A is a critical non-receptor transcription factor that plays a vital role in regulating gene expression during embryonic development and tissue maturation, particularly within mesodermal tissues. ZEB1 contains two zinc finger domains essential for DNA binding and transcriptional repression, as well as a homeodomain that facilitates protein-protein interactions. ZEB1′s three repression domains enable modulation of gene expression through site competition, enhancer silencing, and interaction with corepressors, making ZEB1 a key player in processes such as histogenesis and skeletal structure development. ZEB1′s interaction with the TSHβ gene T3-response element highlights ZEB1′s importance in regulating gene-specific responses to thyroid hormones, which are crucial for metabolic and developmental functions. |
