Product Description

VEGF Receptor 1 also known as FLI1, VEGFR1 is a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) family.  VEGF Receptor 1 plays a crucial role in angiogenesis by serving as a high-affinity receptor for vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGFs), which are essential for the formation of new blood vessels. This function is particularly important in both normal physiological processes, such as wound healing and tissue repair, and in pathological conditions, including cancer, where tumor growth is often dependent on the development of a robust blood supply. VEGF Receptor 1′s ability to bind VEGF not only influences endothelial cell proliferation and migration but also modulates the activity of other receptors in the VEGF family, thereby impacting vascular permeability and the overall angiogenic response.
