| Product Description | |
TREX1(Three prime repair exonuclease 1) also known as CRV, AGS1, AGS5, DRN3, HERNS, DNase III is a member of the exonuclease superfamily. TREX1 plays a significant role in DNA metabolism and repair. TREX1 is predominantly expressed in the spleen, liver, thymus, colon, heart, brain, and small intestine, where TREX-1 localizes to the nucleus and functions as a homodimer. TREX1 is an exonuclease that requires magnesium as a cofactor for activity, demonstrating a preference for double-stranded DNA and operating in the 3′-5′ direction to yield nucleoside 5′-phosphates. Notably, TREX1 interacts with the SET complex, an endoplasmic reticulum-associated complex, and is involved in granzyme A-mediated apoptosis, highlighting its importance in cellular processes. |
