| Product Description | |
TLR8(Toll-like receptor 8) is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLR8 is primarily located in the endosomal compartments of immune cells, where TLR8 detects pathogens and triggers signaling pathways that lead to the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The proper functioning of TLR8 is vital for the host′s defense against viral infections, as TLR8 helps to activate the NFκB signaling pathway, which is essential for mounting an effective immune response. Dysregulation of TLR8 can lead to inadequate immune responses or excessive inflammation, highlighting TLR8′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. |
