Product Description

RANKL also known as TRANCE, CD254, TNFSF11 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cytokine family which is a ligand for osteoprotegerin and functions as a key factor for osteoclast differentiation and activation. RANKL plays a pivotal role in bone remodeling and immune system regulation. By binding to its receptor RANK on osteoclasts and dendritic cells, RANKL activates critical signaling pathways such as NF-κB and JNK, leading to osteoclast differentiation and activation. This interaction is essential for normal bone resorption and remodeling processes; however, dysregulation of RANKL expression is associated with pathological conditions like osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and bone metastasis.
