| Product Description | |
ELF3 also known as ESE1 is a member of the Ets family of transcription factors. ELF3 plays a crucial role in regulating epithelial cell differentiation and mediating vascular inflammation. ELF3 is predominantly located in the vascular endothelium and smooth muscle cells, where ELF3 expression is significantly induced by inflammatory cytokines and lipopolysaccharides. ELF3′s interaction with NF-KappaB is particularly important, as this interaction leads to the induction of nitric oxide synthase, a key enzyme in vascular function and inflammation. Additionally, ELF3 is upregulated during corneal epithelium differentiation and collaborates with Sp1 and AP-1 proteins to promote squamous differentiation marker expression in bronchial epithelial cells, highlighting ELF3′s essential role in maintaining epithelial integrity and response to inflammatory stimuli. |
