| Product Description | |
CXCR2 also known as IL8Rβ, CD182, IL8RB is a member of the G-protein-coupled receptor family. CXCR2 is a receptor for interleukin 8 (IL8).plays a crucial role in mediating inflammatory responses by acting as a receptor for interleukin-8 (IL-8), a potent chemotactic factor for neutrophils. This receptor is predominantly expressed on neutrophils, with lower levels found on monocytes and certain myeloid cell lines, which underscores its importance in the immune response and inflammation. Notably, CXCR2 is part of the seven transmembrane domain rhodopsin superfamily of receptors, which are essential for G protein-coupled signal transduction. The interaction of CXCR2 with IL8 not only facilitates neutrophil chemotaxis but also enhances their activation, making CXCR2 a key player in the pathophysiology of various inflammatory diseases. |
