Product Description

BCL2A1 also known as A1, BFL1 is a member of the BCL-2 protein family. BCL2A1 plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis, a process essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and tissue integrity. BCL2A1 is primarily expressed in hematopoietic cells and dimerizes with both Bcl-2 and Bax, contributing to life-promoting properties. BCL2A1 expression is particularly important during myeloid differentiation, where BCL2A1 may provide survival signals in response to specific growth factors. BCL2A1 expression levels have been linked to various cancers, including stomach cancer, highlighting BCL2A1′s potential as a biomarker for tumor progression and a target for therapeutic intervention.
