| Product Description | |
NMDAR2A also known as GluN2A, GRIN2A is a member of the glutamate-gated ion channel protein family. NMDAR2A plays a crucial role in mediating synaptic plasticity and is essential for learning and memory processes in the brain. NMDAR2A is primarily located in the postsynaptic membrane of neurons, where NMDAR2A forms part of the NMDA receptor complex, which is vital for calcium ion influx and subsequent signaling cascades that influence neuronal excitability and synaptic strength. Proper functioning of NMDA receptors, which include the epsilon 1 subunit, is critical for normal brain function, and dysregulation has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including Alzheimer′s disease, schizophrenia, and epilepsy. |
