Product Description | |
p73 also known as TP73 is a member of the p53 family of transcription factors, involved in regulating cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and genomic stability. The ability of p73 to form tetramers through its oligomerization domain is essential for its function in binding DNA and activating target gene expression. Post-translational modifications of p73, such as phosphorylation, acetylation, and ubiquitination, play essential roles in modulating activity, stability, and interactions with other proteins, thereby influencing function in tumor suppression and cellular stress responses. Phosphorylation of p73 can enhance transcriptional activity, while ubiquitination typically targets p73 for proteasomal degradation, balancing levels within the cell. |
