| Product Description | |
RSK2 also known as p90RSK2, RPS6KA3 a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. RSK2 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in response to growth factors and mitogens. RSK2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where activation by phosphorylation occurs in response to extracellular signals, leading to regulation of various cellular processes such as cell growth, proliferation, and survival. RSK2′s cytoplasmic localization enables rapid response to signaling cascades initiated by receptor tyrosine kinases, thereby influencing downstream targets essential for cellular function and adaptation. RSK2 interacts with several key proteins, including extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), which are vital for mediating effects of growth factors and stress signals. |
