| Product Description | |
TAB2 is an activator of MAP3K7/TAK1, which is required for for the IL-1 induced activation of nuclear factor kappaB and MAPK8/JNK. TAB2 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) signaling cascade. TAB2 acts as an essential mediator that interacts with mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase (MAPKKK) TAK1, facilitating activation of downstream signaling pathways in response to various stimuli. This interaction regulates inflammatory responses and cellular stress, as TAB2 helps translocate TAK1 complex from membrane to cytosol upon pro-inflammatory signals, promoting TAK1 activation. TAB2′s ability to form complexes with other binding proteins, such as TAB1 and TAB3, further underscores TAB2′s importance in modulating activity of key transcription factors like NF-kB and AP-1, which are critical for immune responses and cellular homeostasis. |
