| Product Description | |
B-Raf also known as Raf-B, BRAF plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and differentiation by acting as a key component in the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway. This pathway is vital for transmitting signals from cell surface receptors to the nucleus, ultimately influencing cellular responses to growth factors and stress. Raf-B is predominantly located in the cytoplasm, where Raf-B interacts with other signaling molecules, including ERK/MAP kinases and ribosomal S6 kinase, to propagate growth signals. Notably, Raf-B expression is highly restricted, with the highest levels found in the cerebrum and testis, indicating specialized functions in these tissues. Raf-B regulation is critical, as unregulated Raf-B has been associated with oncogenic transformation, making Raf-B a significant target for cancer research and therapeutic interventions. |
