Product Description

Talin-1 also known as TLN1 is a cytoskeletal protein that is concentrated in areas of cell-substratum and cell-cell contacts. Talin-1 plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling by linking integrins to the actin cytoskeleton, which is essential for maintaining cell shape and facilitating communication between the extracellular matrix and the cell interior. This interaction is vital for processes such as cell migration, proliferation, and differentiation, making Talin-1 a key player in tissue development and repair. Additionally, Talin-1 undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which can influence activity and interactions with other proteins. These modifications regulate the assembly and disassembly of focal adhesions, thereby impacting cellular responses to mechanical and biochemical signals.
