Product Description | |
TGF-β Receptor I also known as TGFβ RI, TGFBR1 is a 503 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein, plays a crucial role in the TGFβ signaling pathway by forming a receptor complex with TGFβ RII, which is essential for mediating the growth-inhibitory effects of TGFβ. TGF-β Receptor I′s location in the cell membrane enables effective transduction of extracellular signals into the cell, influencing various cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Defects in the gene encoding TGF-β Receptor I have been linked to serious conditions such as aortic aneurysm familial thoracic type 5 and Loeys-Dietz syndrome, highlighting TGF-β Receptor I′s critical role in maintaining vascular integrity and normal developmental processes. |
