| Product Description | |
IL-17Rα also knonw as IL17R, IL17RA is a proinflammatory cytokine secreted by activated T-lymphocytes. It is a potent inducer of the maturation of CD34-positive hematopoietic precursors into neutrophils. IL-17Rα plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-17, which is essential for the immune response and the regulation of inflammation. IL-17Rα is predominantly expressed in the spleen and kidney, highlighting its importance in immune system function and tissue homeostasis. Upon binding with IL-17, IL-17Rα activates downstream signaling pathways that lead to the production of various pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-6 and IL-8, thereby amplifying the inflammatory response. This interaction is vital for the host defense against pathogens, but dysregulation can contribute to autoimmune diseases and chronic inflammatory conditions. |
