TRIB2 also known as TRB2 is a member of the Tribbles family. TRIB2  plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis and cellular signaling pathways. TRIB2 is particularly important due to involvement in the MAP kinase pathway, where TRIB2 modulates the activity of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) in response to cellular stress and growth signals. The ability of TRIB2 to interact with and stabilize MAPKKs highlights TRIB2′s significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and influencing cell fate decisions. TRIB2 is predominantly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, which underscores TRIB2′s potential role in immune responses and hematopoiesis. The unique structure of TRIB2, characterized by a protein kinase-like domain that lacks active site lysine, suggests TRIB2 may function as a regulatory protein rather than a traditional kinase, further emphasizing TRIB2′s importance in cellular signaling networks.
