| Product Description | |
ε-Tubulin also kown as Epsilon Tubulin, TUBE1 is a member of the tubulin superfamily. ε-Tubulin is a crucial component of the microtubule cytoskeleton, which plays a vital role in maintaining cell shape, enabling intracellular transport, and facilitating cell division. ε-Tubulin exists as one of five distinct forms of tubulin, alongside alpha, beta, gamma, and delta tubulin, and specifically localizes to the pericentriolar material of the centrosome. This localization proves essential for proper organization and function of microtubules during cell division, particularly in mitotic spindle formation. ε-Tubulin′s unique cell-cycle-specific pattern of localization allows association with one centrosome in a newly duplicated pair and later with both, highlighting importance in accurate chromosome segregation. |
