| Product Description | |
DYNLT1 also known as CW-1, TCTEL1, Tctex1 is a cytoplasmic dynein light chain. DYNLT1 plays a crucial role in the transport of cellular cargo along microtubules, which is essential for maintaining cellular organization and function. DYNLT1 is expressed in various human tissues, including the heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, spleen, prostate, testis, ovary, ileum, and colon, highlighting its importance in diverse physiological processes. DYNLT1 interacts with other proteins such as Na+ CP type Xα (SCN10A) and is regulated by several key proteins, including dynactin, LIS1, and NudEL (NudE-like), which modulate dynein activity and ensure proper cellular transport mechanisms. The carboxy terminus of dynein, where DYNLT1 is located, is particularly important for microtubule-dependent motility and is highly conserved across species, underscoring the evolutionary significance of DYNLT1 in cellular dynamics. |
