Product Description

Sestrin-2 also known as SESN2, HI95, SES2, SEST2 is a member of the sestrin family of PA26-related proteins. Sestrin-2 is predominantly expressed in various tissues, where Sestrin-2 plays a vital role in regulating cell growth and survival, particularly under stress conditions. Sestrin-2 is involved in the cellular response to oxidative stress and DNA damage, leading to upregulation in such scenarios. This regulation is crucial as Sestrin-2 helps protect against apoptosis in certain contexts, such as in breast cancer cells, while Sestrin-2 overexpression may also contribute to tumor progression.
