| Product Description | |
RXRα also known as RXRalpha, RXRA is a member of the retinoid X receptor family. RXRα plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of retinoic acid, which is vital for various biological processes including cell differentiation, growth, and apoptosis. This receptor is predominantly located in the nucleus, where RXRα functions as a transcription factor that regulates gene expression in response to retinoid signaling. The nuclear localization of RXRα is essential because RXRα interacts with specific DNA sequences and forms heterodimers with other nuclear receptors, such as retinoic acid receptors (RARs), thereby amplifying the regulatory effects on target genes. |
