| Product Description | |
NCK2 also known as NCKbeta, GRB4 is a member of the NCK family of adaptor proteins. NCK2 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling as a member of the NCK family of SH2/SH3 adaptor proteins, which also includes NCK1. These proteins are essential for coupling tyrosine kinase signaling pathways, such as those activated by epidermal growth factor (EGF) and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), to downstream signaling proteins. NCK2 binds to human PDGFR-β at tyrosine 1009, and overexpression has been shown to inhibit PDGF-induced membrane ruffling and lamellipod formation, thereby regulating cell motility and morphology. Additionally, the SH2 domain of NCK2 has been implicated in the inhibition of EGF- and PDGF-induced DNA synthesis, highlighting a role in controlling cell proliferation. |
