| Product Description | |
NCK1 also known as NCKalpha is one of the signaling and transforming proteins containing Src homology 2 and 3 (SH2 and SH3) domains. NCK1 plays a crucial role in mediating tyrosine kinase signaling pathways, including those activated by epidermal growth factor (EGF) and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF). NCK1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where NCK1 facilitates the interaction between various signaling molecules, thereby influencing cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, and cytoskeletal dynamics. NCK1′s cellular location enables rapid responses to extracellular signals, allowing for timely modulation of downstream signaling cascades. NCK1 interacts with p21-activated kinase (PAK), a key regulator of the actin cytoskeleton, which underscores NCK1′s role in coordinating cellular responses to growth factors. |
