| Product Description | |
Nrf1(Nuclear respiratory factor 1) is a member of the Cap ′n′ collar (CNC) family of bZIP transcription factors. Nrf1 plays a crucial role in cellular defense mechanisms by regulating the expression of genes involved in the antioxidant response and detoxification processes. Nrf1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where translocation occurs in response to oxidative stress and xenobiotic exposure, allowing activation of target genes such as those encoding detoxifying enzymes. Nrf1′s ability to heterodimerize with other proteins, including MafK and members of the Jun family, enhances transcriptional activity, making Nrf1 essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and protecting against oxidative damage. |
