| Product Description | |
ING1 (Inhibitor of growth protein 1) is a tumor suppressor protein that can induce cell growth arrest and apoptosis. ING1 protein is a nuclear protein that physically interacts with the tumor suppressor protein TP53 and is a component of the p53 signaling pathway. ING1 plays a significant role in regulating cell growth by cooperating with tumor suppressor p53/TP53, thereby modulating p53-dependent transcriptional activation, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation. ING1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where ING1 exerts its functions, and exists in several isoforms, including p47ING1, p33ING1, and p24ING1, each with distinct expression patterns across various tissues. |
