| Product Description | |
Integrin β5 also known as ITGB5 is a beta subunit of integrin, which can combine with different alpha chains to form a variety of integrin heterodimers. Integrin β5 plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling, functioning as a receptor that mediates interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix. Integrin β5 is primarily located on the cell surface, where anti-Integrin β5 antibody (B-10) can detect heterodimers formed with various α subunits, allowing binding to ligands such as fibronectin and vitronectin. Proper localization of Integrin β5 is essential for function, as Integrin β5 facilitates signal transmission from the extracellular environment to the cell interior, influencing processes such as cell migration, proliferation, and survival. Through engagement with the extracellular matrix, Integrin β5 supports structural integrity and activates intracellular signaling pathways vital for cellular responses to external stimuli. |
