Product Description

DcR2 also known as CD264, TNFRSF10D is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. DcR2 plays a critical role in modulating apoptosis by acting as a decoy for ligands that typically bind to death receptors, thereby inhibiting apoptotic signaling pathways. This function is particularly significant in cancer, where decoy receptor 2 can contribute to tumor cell survival by preventing apoptosis in response to pro-apoptotic signals. Understanding DcR2 interactions with ligands, such as TRAIL (TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand), is essential for elucidating its role in tumorigenesis and developing potential therapeutic strategies.
