| Product Description | |
| c-Jun also known as AP1, JUN is a member of the JUN family. c-Jun plays a crucial role in cellular processes as a key component of the transcription factor AP-1, which is essential for regulating gene expression in response to various stimuli, including growth factors and stress signals. c-Jun′s ability to form both homo- and heterodimers with other members of the Jun and Fos families allows binding to the TPA-response element (TRE) with high affinity, particularly when paired with Fos proteins. c-Jun interaction with Ha-Ras enhances transcriptional activity, highlighting importance in oncogenic signaling pathways. Post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, can modulate c-Jun activity and stability. |
