| Product Description | |
ATP1B3 also known as beta 3 Sodium Potassium ATPase belongs to the family of Na+/K+ and H+/K+ ATPases beta chain proteins, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+ -ATPases. ATP1B3 plays a vital role in regulating ion gradients by transporting sodium and potassium ions across the membrane. Proper functioning of ATP1B3 is critical for various physiological processes, including maintenance of resting membrane potential, cellular volume regulation, and facilitation of secondary active transport mechanisms. Disruption of ATP1B3 function can lead to severe cellular dysfunction and is implicated in various pathophysiological conditions, including hypertension and heart failure. The β subunit of Na+/K+-ATPase complex not only aids in correct folding and membrane insertion of the α subunit but also plays a significant role in overall stability and activity of the enzyme, making ATP1B3 a key target for research in cellular physiology and disease mechanisms. |
