| Product Description | |
14-3-3 theta is a member of the 14-3-3 protein family, which plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular processes, particularly in cancer biology, where 14-3-3 theta protein is involved in apoptosis, mitogenic signaling, and cell-cycle checkpoints. 14-3-3 theta protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where 14-3-3 theta protein interacts with a wide range of partner proteins, facilitating proper function and localization. Cytoplasmic presence of 14-3-3 theta protein allows regulation of signaling pathways essential for cell survival and proliferation. Through sequestering target proteins in the cytoplasm, 14-3-3 theta protein prevents degradation and modulates activity, influencing critical cellular responses to stress and growth signals. Formation of dimers by 14-3-3 proteins creates binding sites for ligands sharing consensus binding motifs, underscoring importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. |
