Product Description

Erk5 also known as MAPK7 is a member of the MAP kinase family. Erk5 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating gene expression, cell proliferation, and differentiation, which are vital for normal cellular function and response to external stimuli. Erk5 is localized primarily in the nucleus, where Erk5 influences transcriptional regulation by phosphorylating specific transcription factors, thereby modulating the expression of genes involved in cell cycle progression and survival. This nuclear localization enables direct impact on transcriptional machinery and contributes to cellular response to growth factors and stress signals.
